Moreira wants to fight for a starting spot: “I have to prove that I’m ready”
Diego Moreira continues to impress and has scored three goals in his last three matches. After the game against Lecce, he made it clear that his goal is to fight his way into the starting eleven. “I know very well what I want in life and in my career, so I think it’s important to stay focused. Right now, I feel like I’m a good example of that: I’m not starting matches, but I come off the bench, score goals and I think I’m putting in good performances.” Moreira also stressed that the team always comes first. “What I have to do is simply help the team and give everything. Whether I start the match or come on during the game, I have to give one hundred percent. That’s how I can become a regular starter.” He is also clear about what is required going forward: “Now it’s just about continuing to work, continuing to believe in myself and showing the coach that I’m ready to start every match.” Three goals in three matches is certainly a strong run for Moreira, who continues to push for more playing time at Milan.
