Milan enters race to host Euro 2032 – new stadium could stage matches
By Rossoneri Scandinavia ·
Milan is officially among the candidate cities to host matches at Euro 2032, which will be jointly organised by Italy and Turkey.
The FIGC has submitted documentation to UEFA covering 13 Italian cities and a total of 14 candidate stadiums. In Milan’s case, the proposed venue is not the current San Siro, but the new stadium AC Milan and Inter are planning to build in the area of the existing ground.
The current San Siro does not meet all of UEFA’s requirements for the 2032 tournament.
The plan is for construction to begin during the second half of 2027, with the new stadium expected to be completed by summer 2031 – around one year before the tournament starts.
The first official images and further details of the project are expected to be revealed by the end of October.
