Saelemaekers suffers ankle injury – serious damage ruled out
By Rossoneri Scandinavia ·
Alexis Saelemaekers was forced to stop during training at Milanello after suffering an injury to his right ankle.
Tests confirmed that the Belgian sustained an ankle sprain, but there was also positive news for Milan, with examinations ruling out both bone damage and capsular or ligament injuries. His recovery will now be assessed on a day-to-day basis.
The ankle remained swollen and painful the following day, with Saelemaekers beginning treatment at Milanello. Milan hope he can return to team training next week, although his availability for the Serie A match against Sassuolo on 11 October remains uncertain.
The most important news for the Rossoneri is that the medical examinations did not reveal any serious damage.
